We live in a competitive world where everything has become relative. Similarly here at Ace School we try our best to achieve a perfect balance between curriculum and co-curricular activities. The importance of sports and games in school encompasses more than just the benefit of physical activity but it also empowers youth, promotes higher self-esteem, brings about motivation, enables students to earn better grades and also teaches students to maintain a healthy lifestyle thus making them better in all aspects of life. For good sportsmanship pro¬vides essential guidelines that can be generalized to classroom and lifelong achievement. Sports also mirrors today’s competitive society. Children learn that winning and losing are both temporary and a part of life but the most important thing is that they should not learn to give up or quit. Sports also teaches children to become a team player.

Thus keeping that in mind here at Ace school we try to incorporate a variety of outdoor as well as indoor games through the scholastic year and also we have a week especially dedicated to games and sports known as the Ace Sports Week, during this week all the students indulge in both outdoor as well as indoor activities competing with their peers in a variety of events like track events like long jump, relay race, 50, 100 and 200 meters dash, a variety of sports like Futsal, Badminton, Basketball and indoor games like Table tennis, Chess and Carom.

The value of sports in schools is significant and cannot be overlooked for it teaches a lot of life lessons for it has a profound impact on individuals, the school as a whole, as well as the community. For it bridges gaps, brings people together, and gives many participates unbelievable, life-altering lessons and opportunities.
